Welcome to Spring, and did you know that it’s RAK day today in New Zealand.
Yes, seriously, it’s officially Random Acts of Kindness day today (you can google it!). Lions believe that every day should be a RAK day. One small act of genuine unasked for kindness can make a world of difference to someone, and to the giver. Put a smile on someone’s face, and that smile will spread far and wide.
Your local Lions Club is there to empower you to support your community, and make the world a better place.
For major disasters, Lions step up internationally. The Lions Clubs International Foundation has promptly made an emergency grant of $200,000 USD to assist emergency relief in Nepal. That money goes directly to Lions Clubs working on the ground in the disaster area where the funds are needed most (just as happened after the Christchurch earthquakes).

Today Is World Lion Day and we’re celebrating lions of all kinds!

In the wild, lions know something important — a pride is stronger together. And we think that’s pretty good advice for humans too.

At the Lions Club of Karori, we bring people together to lend a hand, support our community, create a little kindness and have plenty of fun along the way. Because Lions don’t serve alone. We serve together.

Want to find your pride? Come and discover what being a Karori Lion is all about. New members are always welcome. Check out our website www.karorilions.co.nz to find out how.
