Symposium Summary "New New New"

The 2026 Symposium opened with a Karakia and welcome, setting a tone of unity and shared purpose.

Key topics included updates to the Knowledge and Skills Framework, telehealth innovations, COPD guidelines, palliative care strategies, the Breath Strategy, home lung function monitoring, asthma management in children, oral corticosteroid use, and chest clearance techniques.

Speakers such as Kerri Nuku, Betty P**t, Katie Faaiuaso, Professor Bob Hancock, Dr Amanda Landers, Claire Beard, Dr Ella Guy, Dr Karen Oldfield, Professor Jeff Harrison and Colleen Stevens inspired valuable discussion.
