The Wellington Tramping and Mountaineering Club is an outdoor adventuring club that runs tramping, kayaking and alpine mountaineering weekend and day trips. We have over 700 members from all walks of life. You don't need to become a member to come on our trips but we offer many membership benefits and a range of membership types.

Snowcraft sign ups are now open, until June 21 ❄️ This course is for confident trampers wanting to learn the basic skills needed to start going on alpine trips, including moving on snow with and without crampons, self-arrest, assessing alpine weather and avalanche risk, navigation/route selection. There will be lots of interest and limited space, with preference given to active club members who volunteer and lead trips. If you're a confident and experienced tramper, we would love to chat with you about leading club trips. It's a fun and rewarding way to give back and make sure we have plenty of trips running. Co-leading is a great way to take on your first trip with the support of another member.
