🚨 Crete has been hit by extraordinary rainfall.

According to the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr, 440 mm of rain was recorded at Xyloskalo, Chania during 2–3 October — equal to an incredible 440 litres of water on every square metre.

The prolonged severe weather has caused flooding, damage to roads and agricultural areas across parts of the island. Thinking of everyone affected across Crete and hoping conditions improve quickly. 🇬🇷🙏

Dear Community Members

The Mytilenian Association has organised a movie fundraiser of The Odyssey at the Penthouse Brooklyn on Sunday 2 August 2026, at 2pm.

Please refer to the attached flyer for all the details. There will also be spot prizes on the day.
It would be wonderful if members of our community were able to support the Association by attending what promises to be a great afternoon.
Kind regards
Greek Orthodox Community of
