Every week in Aotearoa, 18 workers are killed as a consequence of work.

Every 15 minutes, a worker suffers an injury that requires more than a week off work.

Today, we commemorate those working people who are killed and injured at work, and call on the government to strengthen health and safety requirements for workers so we can avoid more needless deaths and injuries.

SUCCESS! 👏👏👏

Luxon and the government have agreed to get the Modern Slavery Bill from and past First Reading before the election 😍

This agreement comes from the negotiations for to support the Free Trade Agreement with India, and will be backed up by resourcing to Community Law to provide legal advice. ❤️

Back in March, PSA Youth protested in support of the Bill, encouraging Luxon to show up and show support after saying it’s the one issue he’d march on the streets for. This is a big win for us, and a bigger win for exploited workers. ✊
