Get excited, Youth Week 2026 is here! ⚡🔊

This year’s theme, “Our voices matter! We deserve to be heard | Taringa whakarongo! Ki te reo o ngā taiohi”, is a reminder of the importance of creating spaces where rangatahi are not only encouraged to speak, but are genuinely listened to.

At UN Youth NZ, youth voice means participation, leadership, collaboration, and the ability for young people to shape conversations about the communities and world around them. This week is an opportunity to reflect on the many ways youth voices are continuing to be genuinely uplifted and strengthened every day.

To celebrate Youth Week, we’ll be spotlighting the incredible rangatahi across our organisation throughout the week, sharing their perspectives, passions, and the work happening across each region and national programme.
