Thank you to everyone who continues to tautoko Nau Mai Tau Mai and an extra special thanks to Nikau Foundation for the support and acknowledgment in the services we share with whānau at Compassion Soup Kitchen Te Kīhini Hupa o Pūaroha
The magic of healing and connection unfolds beautifully when the music, haircuts and hang out space is offered on a Wednesday morning.
We have been able to give more than 300 haircuts in this last year, but it is SO much more than this.
During these sessions the air naturally shifts, conversations soften, barriers dissolve, hearts connect and humanity shines through simple acts of care and belonging.
The music becomes the heartbeat of the space and has been a potent catalyst for Whānau to re-ignite their talents and step forward to share, teach and encourage others.
2025 will be our 8th year at the Soup Kitchen and we look ahead with great hope and a whole lotta love x
