AMO (Advancement of Māori Opportunity)

AMO (Advancement of Māori Opportunity) AMO is an Ambassador Programme, a community capacity building, leadership and Indigenous development The leader goes ahead while the supporters follow.

The AMO Ambassadors Programme is based on five core universal cultural values. These values are:

Relationships:
"Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini". My prowess is not single-handed, rather it represents the efforts of many. Responsibility:
"Ko te amorangi ki mua, ko te hapai o ki muri". Reciprocity:
Pari mai ai a tai timu atu". The tide that goes out will always return. Red

istribution:
"Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora te iwi". With your food basket and my food basket, the people will be satisfied. Respect:
"Aroha ki te tangata". Show love to all people.
