Te Wiki Tuatahi – Angitu 2.0
Our first noho marae for Angitu 2.0 was nothing short of powerful. 🌊✨
We were reminded just how privileged we are to walk alongside rangatahi on this journey. For many, this was the very first time staying on a marae and not only did they find their feet, they found each other. Together they built their own aahuru moowai, creating a safe and empowering space where mauri could flow freely.
Throughout the noho we dived into some incredible kaupapa:
🌱 Whakapapa – connecting to our roots and to each other
🌊 Pepeha – grounding our identities in place and people
📖 Hītori – exploring stories that shape us
🌌 Atua Māori – drawing inspiration from atua and their qualities
🙏 Karakia – opening and closing spaces with intention
🔥 Mauri Continuum – reflecting on our energy and wellbeing
🎶 Introduction to Waiata – lifting our voices as one
These workshops weren’t just about knowledge, they were about whanaungatanga, mana motuhake, and building confidence. Along the way our rangatahi picked up soft skills without even realising: teamwork, courage, resilience… all while having endless katakata and making memories that will last.
