Waiuku Zero Waste

Waiuku Zero Waste A community run, social enterprise committed to reducing waste by recycling, upcycling and repairing. These goods are then sold at our on-site shop.

Waiuku Zero Waste Ltd is a charitable company formed by two Charitable Trusts for the purpose of running the Waiuku Community Recycling Centre. This centre is run by locals for locals and brings a new way of dealing with your waste. Our focus is on re-using, recycling and upcycling as many items as we can from what is brought to the site.

Amazing what communities can achieve when passionate people group together.

This food waste programme by our mates at Hibiscus Coast Zero Waste, is feeding locally grown produce and banding together school and retirement villages. On a mission to divert food waste from landfill, saving greenhouse gases and creating 'carbon sinks'.

What was once waste is now a resource thanks to a clever collaboration between classrooms, care homes, cafes and countryside.
