Privilege / Power Imbalance → Shared Responsibility

When one person makes all the decisions, sets the rules, or expects to be “in charge,” the relationship becomes unequal.

Shared responsibility means teamwork, equal voice, and shared roles. Healthy relationships grow when power is balanced, and decisions are made together.

Using Children → Responsible Parenting

Using tamariki to pass messages, create guilt, or control another parent places children in the middle of conflict. This can cause emotional harm.

Responsible parenting focuses on the wellbeing of children. Healthy co-parenting protects tamariki from adult issues and supports their safety and stability.

Today was a really special day. With the support of Ariki Slavation-Turner our tamariki space was blessed and is now open.
A big mihi to everyone who has helped to bring our vision to life ❤️

Now the pathway to healing can begin for our tamariki

This Youth Week, we celebrate the strength, creativity, and leadership of rangatahi across Aotearoa. 💛

Youth Week is a nationwide celebration recognising the impact young people have in our communities and championing a future where they are supported to thrive.

This year’s kaupapa reminds us: Our voices matter. We deserve to be heard.

We stand with rangatahi uplifting their voices and creating safer spaces for them to grow, lead, and be heard.
