KAI IDEAS
What to do with leftovers whanau. Here are some ideas for you:

1. Fry up - take all those veges, meat and chuck it in a pan with a bit of oil or butter.

2. Soup - Fry off some onion and add your salt, pepper and whatever seasonings you have. Add in your left over vegetables, any herbs from the garden and add some water. If you have a packet of soup mix or stock then add this too. Once cooked, blend or use a masher to make a nice thick vege soup. Add any leftover meats.

Kai ideas:

Ever wondered what to do with a random can of chickpeas? You can drain the juice and whip it with a bit of sugar to make a healthy meringue mix. This can be eaten as is or placed in an oven and baked into meringues.

With the remaining chickpeas, you can:

1. Add to a soup,
2. Season with salt and roast until crunchy
3. Add to a salad to bulk it out
4. Blend with a bit of oil, salt and pepper and use it as a dip for chips or on crackers.

The humble chickpea is very versatile!
