There is something wrong in New Zealand when tiny town foodbanks have to pay this much power to keep the lights on and serve our community. Do better Mercury Energy (which is owned mainly by the government!)

KAI IDEAS
What to do with leftovers whanau. Here are some ideas for you:

1. Fry up - take all those veges, meat and chuck it in a pan with a bit of oil or butter.

2. Soup - Fry off some onion and add your salt, pepper and whatever seasonings you have. Add in your left over vegetables, any herbs from the garden and add some water. If you have a packet of soup mix or stock then add this too. Once cooked, blend or use a masher to make a nice thick vege soup. Add any leftover meats.
