Jeremy will be taking the lead on our current and future build projects - building and repairing homes for whānau across Wairoa.

Big news for Tātau Tātau members ⛽

Through E Tipu's investment in the Gull and NPD merger, our members now get 25c off every litre at Gull sites.

For our whānau running two cars, that's around $520 a year back in your pocket. Across all our people, it's up to $1.79 million a year staying in the pockets of whānau instead of going to the fuel pump.

This is what our investments are for. Growing the pūtea, while making sure benefits are felt at home.

*25c per litre is the current discount rate, available through the Gull app nationwide. We'll review it with our Gull and NPD partners at Christmas, the revised fuel discount will automatically apply for next year . Savings are estimates based on 1,040 litres per car a year.

We're thrilled to welcome Hickson Raroa to the Tātau Tātau Housing team as our Civils Lead. Hickson brings his skills and experience to the team as we continue building warm, healthy homes for our people here in Wairoa. With strong whakapapa ties to Rakaipaaka, Ngāti Porou and Te Māhia, Hickson is a true uri of this rohe, and we're proud to have him on board. In his own words;

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori Hīkoi

On Monday 14 September, we joined Wairoa District Council for a community hikoi to celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori.

The hikoi started at the Wairoa Lighthouse and finished at the Wairoa Mānukanui Library green, where the community came together for kai, entertainment and celebration.

It was awesome to see rangatahi, tamariki, whānau and local organisations take part, proudly carrying the signs they had created. Their creativity and enthusiasm helped bring the kaupapa to life and created a strong sense of community.

Spot prizes added to the excitement along the way, making the day even more enjoyable for everyone involved.

The hikoi was a great opportunity to celebrate te reo Māori and support keeping it visible, heard and alive in our rohe. A big mihi to everyone who took part, and a special mihi to Wairoa District Council for partnering with us to bring the kaupapa together.

Kia ora koutou,

It is with both joy and sadness that we announce our lovely Jody has transitioned to our Tātau Tātau Housing team. Jody has led multiple projects for the Trust more importantly in the Cyclone Gabrielle recovery space, co-ordinating the rebuilds of whānau homes impacted by the flooding as well as providing short-term living solutions for whānau that wanted to remain on their whenua while works began on their whare. We will miss Jody in our Trust office space however she is only over the bridge where you can find her with our housing team!
