Wairoa Community Ngahere Nursery

Wairoa Community Ngahere Nursery To inform people of the journey we are going to embark on, to address the pollution and erosion our river has endured for many years. We do not post plants out.

We propagate sell native plants for restoration projects around our local area. We sell plants @$5-$6 and $8 plus GST Plants are to be picked up once paid for.

A Big thank you to Wairoa for the wonderful support given on Our Keep NZ Clean week.
We Managed to clean/tidy a section of the Sir James Carroll Walkway and Plant 70 native Trees.
We would love to do more of this.
We invite our sports clubs, organisation's on board to continue with this amazing project. It would be an amazing healing place for all to enjoy and soak up the natural energy that the ngahere provides.
Any people/groups who are interested in contributing are most welcome to contact us.

Thanks goes out to Wairoa District Council and Staff, Wairoa Police, Wairoa Community Patrol, Wairoa Enviroschools, and RPSolutions and Staff.
Without your support this wouldn't of happened.
Let's keep this going Wairoa.

Tamariki accompanied by their caregivers on their wee bikes got to work.
Thank you to those who came along and helped with the planting of 70 trees yesterday.

A big Mihi to the amazing people in our community who turned up to give some Love to the Sir James Carroll walkway. We accomplished so much in two hours. It was so heart warming to be able to see the natives that were planted a few years ago.

It gives me great hope, that with a few more cleanups like this the walkway will look amazing.

Was wonderful to see a mix of ages participating the youngest being my mokopuna Merseyis age 3. They enjoyed the experience, she said this is better than playing on ipad lol. The energy within the ngahere was beautiful.
A big mihi to RPSOLUTIINS, Wairoa District Council staff, Wairoa Police, Wairoa Community Patrol, Wairoa Enviroschools
and special mention to Harry TeRangi with his mean az scrub bar. To all the whanau who came and gave awhi to the Sie James Carroll Walkway A Big Nga Mihi. Also thank you to our wee ngahere crew, Jan, Jade, Pauline, Frances, and Chrissy, we rock.
We will be back down there on Thursday 24 September to plant 70 more native trees. Our local Kura and Wairoa Primary School students will be participating.
Big thanks to RPSolutions for digging the holes for us. We are pleased that Jade from enviroschools has supported this venture.
