Takitimu Marae

The call has gone out for our marae to rise, to gather, and to prepare for Pā Haka 2026.

This is more than a performance — it is whakapapa in motion, the voice of our tīpuna carried through waiata, haka, reo, and tikanga.

Now is the time to bring your whānau together, plan your brackets, revive your waiata, and stand proudly for your marae.

Let us fill Takitimu Marae with mana, unity, pride, and the strength of Ngā Tokorima a Hinemanuhiri.

Marae mā, kua tae mai te wā.

Whānau Registration – Hinemanuhiri

E te whānau, this is a gentle but important reminder to register with Ngā Tokorima a Hinemanuhiri.

Registering ensures:
Your voice is counted in our decisions
You stay informed on kaupapa, hui, and opportunities
You are part of shaping our future and our journey toward rangatiratanga

Important to note:
👉 Registering with Hinemanuhiri is NOT the same as registering with Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa.
They hold a separate database, so even if you are registered with them, you will still need to register with us directly.

This is about our people, our whakapapa, our future — making sure Hinemanuhiri is strong, connected, and led by its own whānau.

Today in Frasertown was a powerful reflection of what it means to come together as a community 🤍

Whānau gathered, connections were strengthened, and there was a real sense of kotahitanga felt throughout. Moments like this remind us of the strength we hold when we stand side by side, grounded in who we are and what we stand for.

We honour those who have passed on, who stood with courage and represented us in times of war, and we acknowledge those who continue to serve today. Their legacy is one of sacrifice, strength, and an enduring commitment to protecting others.

As we reflect, we also look out to the world today and recognise that peace is never guaranteed. It is something that must be upheld, protected, and stood for — not just by leaders, but by all of us. As a nation, we carry a responsibility to remain firm in our values, to stand for what is right, and to never turn away when peace and humanity are at risk.

Let us carry that legacy forward — with courage, with integrity, and with aroha for one another.

Proud of our small but mighty community.
Ngā mihi nui ki a tātou katoa 🌿

He Karanga Motuhake ki te Whānau o Hinemanuhiri

A significant opportunity has opened, and we are calling on our Hinemanuhiri whānau to step forward.

This is more than just a job — it is about ensuring that our people, our voice, and our whakaaro are present at the decision-making table. We need someone from Hinemanuhiri in this space, someone who understands who we are, where we come from, and where we are going.

If you’re considering applying and would like support with your CV or application, please reach out. We are here to awhi you through the process.

E tū, e te whānau — this is our time to be seen, to be heard, and to lead.
