🔥🔥2026 UPDATE🔥🔥
✨ Nau mai, haere mai ki te tau 2026! ✨
Happy New Year to all our followers, tauira, and whānau. We’re grateful to walk into 2026 together and look forward to another year of growth, learning, and support at Capital Training.
We will be back open for rangatahi from the 26th Jan.
✨ He Panui | Team Update at Capital Training ✨
We’d like to take a moment to acknowledge some important changes within our Capital Training whānau as we continue to grow and strengthen our support for our tauira.
🌟 Welcome to our new kaimahi 🌟
We are excited to introduce Myke Ansell , who has joined us as our new BCATs Tutor. Myke brings valuable experience, knowledge, and a genuine commitment to supporting tauira on their learning journey.
We also warmly welcome Talia TeAtua Pere 🐐 into the role of Whānau Engager / Pastoral Care. Talia brings a strong rangatahi-centred approach and passion for supporting our young people and their wider support networks.
📌 Leadership update🫣
I would also like to acknowledge my own transition into the Management role within Capital Training. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to continuing to support our tauira, whānau, and staff as we move forward together.
🔴There will be new and exciting things happening within our centre e.g. new & different courses being delivered that will be🤞🏽🤞🏽more beneficial to our rangatahi, their whānau and our community here in CentralHB. (Watch this space).
🔴We will also continue to work alongside Tararua Community Youth Services (TCYS). Delivering education to their rangatahi also.
🔴We have our hauora days on Wednesday. Talia has made amazing plans for each Wednesday. Touching base on Te Whare Tapa Whā for our rangatahi.
🔴As always, cooked breakfasts awaiting for our rangatahi every morning🥓🍳☕️
🔴And also a new quiet/calm space. For when the open class space gets a bit too much for tauira or staff, they are welcome to slip in there and take some quiet time for themselves 😮💨
💛 Ngā mihi nui | Farewells 💛
We farewell Georgia-Ry Pere, who has been an incredible Pastoral Care support for our tauira. Georgie is now stepping into a new chapter, following and supporting our boy on his new exciting journey. We thank her deeply for the aroha, dedication, and mana she has given to our space.
We also farewell Sonny Raheke, who is returning to his Truancy role in Central Hawke’s Bay. We acknowledge the mahi Sonny has contributed during his time with us and wish him all the best as he continues important work supporting rangatahi in the community.
As always, we remain committed to paving a new way, walking alongside our tauira and whānau with care, consistency, and belief in their potential.💥
Ngā mihi nui,
