Perry has been ministering with The Salvation Army for almost 30 years, over half of which as an Officer (minster/pastor) serving in Westport, Belfast, Invercargill and Wellington. He also served as part of the International Emergency Services Team in Nepal after the devasting earthquake of 2015.
His entrepreneurial spirit saw the establishment of ‘The Shed’ and community gardens in Westport, the establishment of the ‘Breathing Space Southland Trust’ in Invercargill, and Child Nepal New Zealand which aims to support and help resource schools and children in Nepal.
Perry has a passion for seeing churches and congregational members grow both spiritually and numerically, as they live out their faith and bear fruit in their communities.
