The Valder Ohinemuri Trust was established by Miss Lilian Valder in 1982. Since its inception the Trust has donated over $4m in grants to support the Ohinemuri community. As an original signatory and member of the Trust Board, Mr Anthony Howell (nephew to Miss Valder) has retired after 43 consecutive years.

The Trustees, on behalf of the many community organisations that benefited from the Trust would like to recognise and thank Anthony for his leadership, governance and guidance over the many years. Along with his wife Sheila, they have both helped build an amazing organisation that not only reflects Lilian’s essence but has grown to be a very successful philanthropic trust, a legacy that continues to support our community into the future.

Thank you Anthony.
