Let's Get Elected Workshop Series #1 "What to?" Speaker Spotlight.

Hon Tracey Martin is the current Chief Executive of Aged Care Association and has a wide range of governance skills.

Notably, Minister for Children, Minister for Seniors, Minister of Internal Affairs and an Associate Minister of Education in the coalition government from 2017 to 2020, having started her Parliamentary career as and MP in 2011.

Tracey is also the former Chair of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and a member of the Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency Board as well as being a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors. She is also a member of the Arbitration Panel for the Post Primary Teachers’ Association and the Ministry of Education strike settlement process.

Tracey went from stay-at-home parent to parliament to now advocating for close to 40,000 seniors in care.

This year is Local Government Election Year and we're organising a workshop series particularly aimed at women who want to get elected - to school boards, community trusts or Council.

The Let's Get Elected Workshop Series starts at 7pm on 13 March and then again 27 March, 10 April, 24 April.

We are planning a series of workshops this year to build a cohort of women who are considering standing for election to governance bodies such as school boards and Councils.
