Whakatane Blue Light

Whakatane Blue Light aims to support young people and families to live in a safe community that offers alcohol, drug and violence free opportunities.

New Zealand Blue Light is a registered charity and community policing youth program that for over 30 years has run programs and activities for young people throughout New Zealand free from drugs, alcohol and violence. Blue Light works closely with the New Zealand Police to:

Reduce youth crime

Build community partnerships

Build young peoples self esteem

Enhance community safety

Build positive

youth and police partnerships

Blue Light aims to reduce young people becoming an offender or victim of crime and to build better relations between the police, young people, their parents and the community. Blue Light encourages safe and healthy socialisation for young people with all Blue Light events being alcohol, drug and violence free; in todays society who else can guarantee this and that is why parents and the community totally trust and support Blue Light activities for their children.
