Reconex NZ, Tokoroa (2026)

Our purpose is to provide a holistic wrap around service that assists our Rangatahi/youth to empower themselves and reconnect back to educational training and employment opportunities, culture/Tikanga Maori, physical fitness and wellbeing and whanau relationships. Our success will not only have a positive impact on our rangatahi/youth but also benefit their whanau, Tokoroa and South Waikato. Please get behind us and support our pilot program that is very much needed.

💯 Another awesome day at our Reconex NZ Rangatahi Check-In Sessions! 💯

Today we kicked off another week together by assigning everyone their roles for our cooking session. The menu? Homemade nachos! 🌮👌 Safe to say they were a hit and tasted amazing.

Once the clean-up was all taken care of, we headed down for some games of pool, plenty of laughs, and some good old-fashioned connection and whakawhanaungatanga. 🎱😄

We wrapped up the day with a brief reflection round and closed with a karakia, taking a moment to appreciate the day.

These sessions are all about creating a safe space where our rangatahi can connect, learn life skills, support one another, and simply enjoy being together.

Another solid week wrapped up at the Reconex NZ Rangatahi Check-In Sessions! 💯

This week our rangatahi explored the difference between assets and liabilities, got hands-on in the kitchen making some delicious mac and cheese 🧀🍝, and headed down to watch some motocross action 🏍️🔥.

There was plenty of learning, lots of laughs, and some awesome moments shared together. That's what these sessions are all about—creating a space where our rangatahi can learn, connect, and have fun.

🌟 Reconex NZ Rangatahi Check-In Sessions 🌟

Another awesome session with our rangatahi today! 💯

We kicked things off by exploring what a balanced lifestyle looks like and how creating balance in our lives can help us achieve our goals, aspirations, and visions for the future. It was great to see our rangatahi sharing their thoughts and reflecting on what balance means to them.

We then assigned our roles for today's cooking session, with cheeseburgers 🍔 and fries 🍟 on the menu. Safe to say they were on point! 👌🔥

Once the kai was enjoyed and the cleaning crew had worked their magic, we headed down for some games of pool 🎱, darts 🎯, and plenty of laughs. These moments are always a great opportunity to connect, build relationships, and create positive memories together.

We wrapped up our day and week with a karakia, giving thanks and sending our best wishes to all our rangatahi and their whānau.

✨Reconex NZ Rangatahi Check In Sessions✨

Another awesome session with our rangatahi today! 🙌

We were privileged to have our mate Mike join us from Hamilton to spend some time with us and get a feel for what we do here at Reconex NZ. It was awesome having him alongside us and sharing in the kaupapa. 🤝

We kicked off the day by presenting our rangatahi with the vision boards they created during our last session. This opened up some great kōrero as we dove a little deeper into their goals, aspirations, and the pathways they want to create for themselves. 🌟

From there, we assigned our roles for today's cooking session and got stuck into making chicken rice bowls. Safe to say they were a hit and tasted pretty good too! 🍗🍚👌

Once the clean-up crew had done an amazing job, we headed down for a few games of pool, plenty of laughs, and some quality time together. 🎱😄

To wrap up the day, we gathered for a reflection round, sharing highlights from the session before closing with a karakia. 🙏

A huge shout-out to all our rangatahi for showing up, supporting one another, and continuing to grow together. You make these sessions what they are. 💯❤️

✨Reconex NZ Rangatahi Check-In Sessions✨

Kia ora whānau,

Another awesome session with our rangatahi today! We kicked things off by assigning our roles for the cooking session, and today's menu was a classic Kiwi big breakfast. 🥓🍳 Hash browns, bacon, eggs, and cheese spaghetti were all on the menu, and it was absolutely on point! 👌💯

Once the kai was cooked, enjoyed, and the cleanup crew had done an amazing job, we headed down for some games of pool and plenty of laughs. 🎱😄

Throughout the day, our rangatahi also took part in this week's assignment by creating their own vision boards. It was inspiring to see the different goals, dreams, and ideas being shared, with some really interesting visions coming to life. ✨🎯

For those keen to keep building their skills, there was also time spent working through driver's licence practice tests. 🚗📚

We wrapped up another positive day together with a karakia and reflected on the great mahi everyone put in.
