🎉 Honouring Murray Bath – Unit Patron of No 34 (South Waikato District) Squadron ATC 🎉
A remarkable milestone for an extraordinary man!
No 34 (South Waikato District) Squadron ATC Unit Patron Murray Bath first began his journey in aviation and service when he joined No 7 (City of Hamilton) Squadron ATC in 1961. He later joined the Royal New Zealand Navy, proudly serving for 10 years.
In 1972, while serving in the Navy, Murray completed a parachute course. However, due to injury, he was unable to complete the jump at the time.
Fast forward 54 years — to celebrate his 80th birthday on Sunday 14 June, Murray finally achieved what he started all those years ago, completing a parachute jump in Taupō on Monday, 15 June! 🪂
Murray’s determination, resilience, and sense of adventure are truly inspiring. What an incredible way to mark such a special milestone and prove it’s never too late to achieve a goal.
Congratulations, Murray — an inspiration to us all! 👏🎂🪂
