Te Whare Hukahuka

Te Whare Hukahuka Te Whare Hukahuka aims to improve the lives of 10 million indigenous people. We are building models to share with indigenous peoples around the world.

An indigenous social enterprise working to improve the lives of 10 million indigenous people, starting with enabling Māori organisations to be globally respected and the next generation of Māori leaders. We do that by enabling Māori organisations to be world class and enabling the next generation of Māori leaders to be successful. Ka eke poutama ai tātou ngā iwi taketake ki ngā taumata tiketike. Mana motuhake + Mahi tahi + Anga whakamua.

‘𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝗸𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗮’ – weave the people together.⁣

People are the true fibres that hold any kaupapa together.⁣

And yet, in governance, it’s easy to forget who we are really here to represent.⁣
We need less ego and more community voice in our decisions.⁣
Less gatekeeping and more transparency in our reporting.⁣

True kaupapa leadership strengthens the weave between people and kaupapa:⁣
✅ Open communication⁣
✅ Accountability⁣
✅ Bringing people together⁣

So prepare the 𝗺𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘂 of your kaupapa — open the doorway to the 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗮.⁣
Welcome in whānau, volunteers, strategic partners, and community.⁣
𝗛𝗮𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶 𝗸𝗶 𝘁𝗲 𝗸𝗮𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗮. Ko tātou tēnei.

“Mana is a force that brings about change; an ability to act in ways that move people.” ~ Pā Henare Tate⁣

Our third Ka Eke Poutama wānanga focused on how we uplift dimensions of mana in governance – through reciprocity, through connection, through recognition, through permission, and through daily actions that evoke tapu. ⁣

Nei rā te mihi ki ngā poupou o te kaupapa, ki ngā ringawera, ki te whānau o te marae o Manurewa. ⁣

How uplifting to see our ranga grow in strength, clarity and confidence. Week 12 down, and four more to go 🙌🏼
