🚗💛 A heartfelt thank you to Classic Car Cruzing!

We received a wonderful surprise when a collection bucket filled with donations arrived on our desk!

The kind-hearted members of Classic Car Cruzing have been collecting money on our behalf—not because we asked them to, but simply because they wanted to support the work we do. Even more amazingly, they did the same for us last year.

We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and community spirit. Every donation helps us continue supporting local tamariki through the Life Education programme.

Thank you to everyone at Classic Car Cruzing and to all those who contributed. Your kindness means so much to us! 💛

💛 There’s something very special about Harold! 🦒

We loved seeing Harold the Giraffe and the Life Education Trust Mid and South Canterbury featured in the Ashburton Guardian.

For generations of local children, Harold has been much more than a mascot. His visits bring excitement, laughter and memorable lessons about healthy bodies, good choices, friendships, emotions and wellbeing.

Each year, our Life Education - Mid and South Canterbury programme reaches around 8,000 children across 65 schools, helping young people learn valuable life skills in a fun, engaging and supportive environment.

A huge thank you to the schools, teachers, families, sponsors and wider community who continue to support our work. Together, we’re helping local tamariki make healthy choices—for life.

And of course, thank you to the Ashburton Guardian for capturing the magic of Harold so beautifully! 💛

Emma comes to us from a background in the arts, where she has worked in ticketing, fundraising, producing, and community engagement in festivals and performing arts organisations in Aotearoa and abroad.

Emma has 2 daughters who are delighted that she is working with Harold!

The other week, the Life Education Trust Mid & South Canterbury team enjoyed a lovely get-together, which also gave us the chance to say a fond farewell to two valued members of our Harold team. 💛

A big thank you to Annette, our long-serving trustee, for the many years of time, support and dedication you have given to the Trust.

We also said farewell to Jill, our Administration Officer. Thank you, Jill, for all the great work you have done behind the scenes, especially keeping our accounts on track, and for always being such an enthusiastic and supportive member of the Harold team.

We are very grateful for everything you have both contributed and wish you all the very best for your next adventures. 💛🦒

💛 A Special Thank You to Annette 💛

At the weekend, the Life Education - Mid and South Canterbury team came together to celebrate the tremendous contribution our lovely Annette has made over the past six years.

Annette has been an integral part of the transportation and logistics behind Harold’s Mobile Classroom. From scheduling trucks and drivers for deliveries and pick-ups, to organising the safe storage of the classroom during school holidays, she has played a huge role behind the scenes.

With her wealth of knowledge and experience in the transport sector, Annette has helped ensure our Mobile Classroom has been moved and cared for so well over the years — and that has made a real difference in keeping it in such great condition.

Annette, you will be greatly missed. Thank you for everything you have done for Life Education Mid and South Canterbury. We are incredibly grateful for your time, commitment, and support, and we wish you all the very best for what comes next. 💛

💛 Have you voted yet? Harold and the team would be so grateful for your support!

Life Education Trust Mid and South Canterbury is a local charity helping thousands of children learn important lessons about their health, wellbeing, relationships, resilience, and making positive choices.

Our wonderful trustees are all volunteers, generously giving their time to help ensure Harold and the mobile classroom can continue visiting schools and sharing valuable life lessons with local children.

We are also incredibly thankful for the many businesses that have supported us over the years. Their generosity has helped keep Harold on the road and our programmes available to all our children across Mid and South Canterbury

Please take a moment to vote for us for the people's choice. Every vote truly makes a difference!

And a special thank you to our loyal business supporters — please support them whenever you can, just as they have supported us. 💛
