Bridge building
Tonight our Cubs had the amazing idea to build bridges!
They first planned out their bridges with pen and paper before getting to work using cardboard, corks, skewers, tape and any other bits and pieces they could find.
Bridge building is a fantastic way for our Cubs to develop problem-solving, creativity, planning and engineering skills. They had to think about how to make their bridges strong and stable, test their ideas, make changes when things didn’t work, and work out how different materials could be used together.
It also encouraged teamwork, communication, perseverance and critical thinking as they shared ideas and supported each other throughout the challenge.
Most importantly, they were learning through hands-on, practical experiences while having lots of fun!
