🌺 Pacific HIV Symposium 2026 | Fiji
Our Toitū Te Ao team had the privilege of attending the Pacific HIV Symposium 2026 in Fiji, connecting with health leaders, community organisations and advocates from across the Pacific.
It was an important space for shared learning, meaningful kōrero and strengthening relationships, while exchanging knowledge and experiences around HIV prevention, testing, treatment and community-led responses.
An important part of our purpose in attending was also to stand in support and solidarity at an Indigenous level — sharing Indigenous-led perspectives, strengthening connections between our communities and supporting approaches that are grounded in culture, identity and lived experience.
We return to Aotearoa with new knowledge, valuable perspectives and stronger connections that we can carry forward into our mahi — applying what we’ve learned to strengthen the way we support our whānau and communities here at home.
Grateful for the conversations, connections and experiences shared, and for the opportunity to continue learning alongside our Pacific neighbours. ❤️
