Morena whanau, It is so sad to see our marae in this state but it is a need as the flooring is damaged all the way through the kitchen. Thank you to our haukaenga that have been working away at it slowly. This is a big job and of course comes with a big cost. Our insurance annual premium is about $15,00 and we haven't even made a claim. Aon have refused to cover the damage. We are in the process of applying for help to cover the cost. A huge thank you to Richard, Luana and Leroy Brown and his crew, Neilson Builders LTD from Waihau Bay for the mahi they have put in so far. Nga mihi nui whanau.

Join us at Te Paerauta Marae as we come together to celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year—a special time to remember those who have gone before us, celebrate the present, and look forward to the year ahead with hope.
