Kia ora whānau, a brief update to let you know that the Kura Taiao Summit has been postponed. The Trust is currently working through new dates and arrangements, and we’ll share these with you as soon as they’re confirmed.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and ongoing support of this important hapū kaupapa. We appreciate your patience and can’t wait to gather soon to learn, share, and wānanga as a whānau.

Kia ora e te whānau!

Register now for Kura Taiao 2025!

Kura Taiao is a two-day wānanga on the 12th and 13th of December, where we will be gathering to learn, wānanga and plan together. Join us for two days of kōrero and activities with Kia Mia Ellis, Maraea Timutimu, Matemoana McDonald and more to understand climate change impacts on our rohe. We'll be exploring mātauranga-led responses, looking at erosion control and kaitiaki species, getting familiar with council tools and resources, and working together to inform our Hapū Management Plan and Climate Action Plan.

Registrations close 9 December.

Nau mai, haere mai e te whānau 💚

Te Kura Taiao: Ngāi Tūkairangi Hapū Environment & Climate Change Summit 2025, on the 12th and 13th of December 2025 at the University of Waikato (Tauranga Campus - Te Manawaroa)

Te Kura Taiao is a two-day wānanga for uri of Ngāi Tūkairangi, centred on connection to each other, our environment, understanding and adapting to climate change, and what this looks like in the context of Ngāi Tūkairangi - this will also inform a hapū-led climate action plan, and the refresh of our Hapū Management Plan.

The wānanga days will be intentionally planned to ensure we achieve our outcomes, whilst setting the tone for action and any subsequent and connected wānanga.

Registrations will open soon for whānau to lock in their spots and come and take part.
