It has been 12 years since the Rena disaster. We all taken some parts on cleaning up the beach and rescuing wildlife. Over 8,000 volunteers were involved and the clean up was a real community effort.

Envirohub Bay of Plenty is hosting a fundraising screen night next Wednesday, 11th October. The funds raised directly to local charities Western Bay Wildlife Trust and ARRC Wildlife Trust who have been working to help wild bird population to be restored after the disaster.
If you are planning to watch the movie, why not watch the movie for a good cause.

What a great mahi done by Zespri AIMS Games School Sporting Championships Green Team. They are aiming to divert 60% of waste produced from the landfill. They are walking around the field all day picking up litter and sorting waste at recycling station. Amazing!
Thank you to students from Otumoetai College , Tauranga Intermediate School , Mount Maunganui Intermediate School and Papamoa College for their work.

Do you have a spare one hour or two to help local students achieve their goal?

Otumoetai College students are organising a community beach clean up on 2nd July 2023. Register your interest and join them on 2nd July 2023 from 10am to 2pm at Ferbusson Park.

Volunteer wanted!

Do you have a spare hour or two to spend time at beautiful beach on the weekend? We are looking for volunteers to join Litter Intelligence Survey and Audit this Saturday. Head down to the Mount Lifeguard Service this Saturday at 3pm and meet other volunteers with pink hi-vis.
