Rotary Otumoetai

Rotary Otumoetai Meetings at Armitage Hotel on the 1st and 3rd Monday every month 5.30pm for 6.00pm. The Rotary Club of Otumoetai was chartered December 1969.

Current membership stands at 18, including 3 women. The Otumoetai Club is a very strong supporter of the Rotary Foundation with many members honoured as Paul Harris Fellows. Otumoetai is one of four Rotary Clubs in the City of Tauranga which is part of District 9930 – the home of 55 Clubs across the upper central North Island of New Zealand. We meet together with the Rotary Club of Tauranga
on th

e first and third Wednesdays of each month. Each Club retains its own identity and they each take turns at running the meeting. The Club has a proud history of service to the local community and has been actively involved with International programmes. Tauranga, is a rapidly growing City with a current population of near 120,000. Its strategic location on the edge of the nation’s largest port and surrounded by intensive horticulture has encouraged this growth. The University of Waikato has established a Tauranga campus which has encouraged young people to study within the City. The Tauranga suburb of Otumoetai looks out towards the iconic Mount Maunganui the beacon for those travelling by either land, sea or air to the Western Bay of Plenty.
