Bellyful Tauranga Bellyful nourishes and connects communities by cooking and delivering free meals to whānau, with babies or young children, who need support.

And just like that… Spaghetti September is coming to an end!

We honestly didn’t know what to expect when we started this campaign, but the way our local community has got behind us has been amazing!

From businesses opening their doors as drop-off points, workplaces and groups getting involved, families grabbing an extra packet (or two!) at the supermarket, and every single person who donated - thank you!

THANK YOU! The full national Double Donation Day matching fund has been claimed! We are absolutely blown away by how you’ve shown up for Bellyful today and throughout September.

To everyone who has donated money, dropped off spaghetti, hosted a pasta drive or collection point, shared our posts and cheered us on, thank you! We’ve loved seeing our community get behind Spaghetti September. Every packet and every dollar helps us get meals to whānau who need support, ready for a day when cooking feels like too much.

A huge thank you to The Meat Box, Ignite wellbeing, My Office Girl Ltd and Silver Fern Farms for putting their support behind the match and stirring up good! We’ve brought home the bolognese!

Thanks to Silver Fern Farms, Ignite Aotearoa, My Office Girl and The Meat Box, donations made today will be matched dollar for dollar while matching funds last. Give $20 and it becomes $40. Give $100 and it becomes $200.

When you give, you help a whānau with a baby or young child open the freezer after a long day and find dinner already there. You give tired parents and caregivers a chance to sit down, eat - and breathe.

Tomorrow is the final day of Spaghetti September, and we’re going out big!

From 9am on Wednesday 30 September, four generous businesses will match donations to Bellyful dollar for dollar while matching funds last. Give $20 and it becomes $40. Give $100 and it becomes $200.

When you donate, you help put dinner in the freezer for a whānau running on empty. You take one thing off exhausted parents’ shoulders and show them somebody cares.

You’ve brought the pasta this September. Tomorrow, let’s bring home the bolognese too. 🩷

There’s still time to get those donations in! If you’ve got a packet (or two!) of spaghetti, microwave rice or biscuits waiting at home, now’s the time to get them to one of our collection points.

Spaghetti September Spotlight: New World Te Puke

A huge thank you to Sally and Stacey Rolton and their team at New World Te Puke, who are getting behind us this Spaghetti September in a BIG way!

They’re going one step further… and will match every donation received during the campaign! We’re collecting spaghetti, microwave rice and biscuits to provide a little extra support for local whānau, including families with their little ones being cared for in Tauranga Hospital's SCBU.

Look at this!! 🍝🍚🍪

We’re starting to see Spaghetti September donations rolling in, and it’s so awesome seeing our community getting behind us in all sorts of ways.

Some are popping an extra packet into their supermarket trolley, some are running pasta drives at work, and others are getting their teams, clubs and communities involved.

Here are just a few photos of what's come in so far... and we want everyone to know how much we appreciate every single person helping us fill our shelves! It warms our hearts and we’re so grateful to everyone getting behind us.
