What we're up to at playgroup this week ☺️🌺🌿🤸

14/09/2026

We’ve been busy these last two weeks. Spring is round the corner and we’ve had plenty of fantastic play, and some very creative spring pictures.

This week we will create our own butterflies 🦋 using pen, tissue and water. So much learning is happening here.
The new tuff tray has been a great hit we tried gloop/ooblek and now flour for hours of fun! Pouring sieving, scooping, grabbing, and with the flour we can also make shapes.

☀️We're looking for some new families to join our little playgroup ☀️
If you've been keen to come along for a visit, we are open Tuesdays and Thursdays and would love to see you!☺️

Today we said a big goodbye to Polly as she heads off to school.

🦋 Spread your wings and fly, Polly! 🦋 Wishing you all the best.

From tortoise puzzles to impressive block creations, our tamariki showed fantastic creativity and perseverance today! 🐢🏗️🥰

Wow some beautiful creative salt jars last week.

This week we are using pipettes and tissue paper watching how the colours spread along the paper.

We also have made some more kinetic sand and have some new toys.

We will start our Matariki art and activities next week.

Kiddos having a great time hammering nails into some cardboard, ignoring the wood box completely 😅

We love it here at Playgroup how kids can be kids and create their own little masterpieces 🤩.

If your little ones would love to have a go at woodwork or to explore somewhere new, come on up for a free visit!

9am-12pm Tuesdays and Thursdays 🪚🪵🔨
