Should all cats be desexed? 🐱
There is currently no blanket national law requiring cats to be desexed in New Zealand. However, some councils are beginning to introduce local bylaws requiring cats to be desexed by a certain age.
What are the benefits of desexing? Are there any downsides? And what does responsible cat ownership look like?

Looking for a quick and easy way to log your predator catches? Try using the free Green Team App!

How to log your catch:
Open the app → tap the menu icon (top right) → select “Predator Free” → enter your predator type, number of catches, date and location → hit “Submit My Catch

It only takes a minute to log, but that data is important to help build a clearer picture of predator activity across the Bay of Plenty, supporting smarter trapping and better outcomes on the ground 💚
