Rongoā and mirimiri for my youngest daughter today. She rang me early to say she had a sore neck and shoulders and wanted to come for a miri.

So I made a fresh batch of massage oil with kawakawa horopito and manono.

The house was all warm and I burnt a sage and lavender and stick before her massage.

I feel great when I am able to help my babies better - with our traditional ways and lots of love. 💚🌸🍀🌺♥️

Winter is a great time to read - it’s the time when we have to manage our power consumption- as we are all solar power. So no TV or devices and reduce the lights on!
So reading is what we do a fair bit of.

It’s been a while since I have posted. That’s because I have three weeks that have included two very significant tangi. Great losses to whānau and hapuu in particular.

My role is often in the background as we often show our aroha and manaaki through our mahi. Mine is often in the kitchen, dinning room, grocery shopping and coordination- a role I am proud to fulfil for my whānau and hapuu. He ringawera
ahau.

My first visit onto Te Papa o te Aroha marae in Tokoroa for my cousin Johnny Gee 🌸💚 What a beautiful wharepuna and a well equipt marae.

Built originally as I understand it by the Catholic Church - which rubs me the wrong way. But now thankfully and rightfully returned to our Ngāti Raukawa iwi for mana whenua tangata.

The billion dollar backdrop view and warmth of the sun ensured our manuhiri also enjoys the warmth of our manaakitanga 🌸💚🍀🌺
