To Everyone; Sorry, HIPPY is no longer funded by the Ministry of Education, as they are launching a new pre-school education program called Whanau Learning At Home. When, I'm unsure, probably early 2023. We - HIPPY Taupo Charitable Trust - have had a great 9 years providing Taupo with HIPPY - and so, thank you to every participating family. Take care.

Next Whanui Hui/Group Meeting is 19th September, at the Tauhara Primary School Hall, 10.00 to 12.00. We'll be role-playing the next storybook and workbooks, plus making some leaf prints and chalk patterns (great activities to do with your kids). Oh, and there is a MUFFIN surprise!

Mmm, see some of the tasty chocolate-dipped Hokey Pokey treats made at our 22nd Aug Group Meeting, as Father’s day gifts. Consequently HIPPY now has some slightly over-weight Dads on the programme!

This week’s whanau hui (see our pics!) was all about making FUN with numbers and sharing KAI. We had resources set out to make some educational activities/number games for parents to take home and play with their children. We cooked up some mince with nachos, rice, other veges mixed-in and added some sour cream....YUM! We also roleplayed a new work book. Would love to see you all at the next whanau hui. Tauhara Primary School Hall Wednesday 25th July from 10.00 To 12.00.

See our HIPPY Whanau Hui creations made on 13th June, products of our two themes - Cooking on a Budget, and Making Autumn Leaf Trees (from hand prints). The yummy chicken stir fry cost less than $10.00 to make and would be enough to feed a family of 4 (see recipe below). Next Hui is on 27th June at Tauhara Primary School, 10am in the hall. ALL WELCOME! 😃

HIPPY storybooks lay a foundation or background for the HIPPY workbooks to then create EXPERIENCES – using rocks, sand, straws, fabric, colours, space, tables, etc – for your THREE YEAR OLD child. And it's all FREE....😀

Wow what an amazing night we had at Taupo HIPPY graduation on Wed night. Congratulations to all the graduates and 1st year finishes you all have done so well with your HIPPY work in 2017 I an emensly proud and humbled in all of your hard work
