We provides free and confidential support including 24/7 crisis support, information and advice. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger phone police on 111

Te Whare Oranga Wairua Maori Women's Refuge provides free and confidential services as listed below-

Intervention Services: Community Support and Advocacy - with Courts, Police, Immigration, Government social agencies such as Oranga Tamariki; and Work and Income (WINZ) - Counselling - Alternative Healing
Crisis Intervention Services: - 24/7 Information & Advice - Assessment for entry into safe housing escaping or witnessing Domestic Violence - Residential Safe Housing
Domestic Violence Education Programmes for Wahine, Tane & Tamariki

If someone you care about tells you they are experiencing family violence, one of the most important things you can do is listen.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Give them space to talk, believe what they are telling you, and avoid blaming them for what is happening.

Let them know they are not alone, and that support is available.

He mihi nui ki a Tūwharetoa Taiopenga mō te manaaki i a mātou, me te tuku wāhi ki Te Whare Oranga Wairua Māori Women’s Refuge kia tū, kia kōrero, kia whakawhanaunga ki tō tātou hapori.

Ngā mihi maioha ki a koutou. It has been an absolute privilege to be part of such an incredible celebration of te reo Māori, kapa haka, whanaungatanga and Tūwharetoatanga.

Ki ngā rōpū kapa haka katoa i tū ki runga i te atamira — tēnā koutou! 🔥👏🏽
The waiata, haka, pūkana, wairua and mana you brought to the stage were something special. From our tamariki through to our pakeke, you represented your kura, whānau and hapori with pride. Ka mau te wehi!

Ki ā mātou toa o ngā Whānau Manaaki giveaways — congratulations! 🎉🎁 We hope you enjoy all of your taonga, and thank you to everyone who came by, joined in our kēmu and activities, shared a kōrero, had a laugh, took a photo or simply stopped to say kia ora.
