We’re looking for wonderful volunteers who have some spare time and would love to come and spend some quality time with our dogs and cats. ❤️
Whether it’s simply sitting and patting the cats, giving our dogs some much-needed attention, or helping our more timid animals come out of their shells — every little bit helps! 🐶🐱

Socks is a sweet male cat who can be a little timid and shy when you first meet him. But please don’t let his quiet nature fool you! ❤️
While in foster care, Socks has truly come out of his shell and shown his wonderful personality. He is sweet, cuddly, playful and curious, and loves being able to relax in a safe and comfortable environment.
Socks may need a little time and patience to settle into a new home, but once he feels safe, you’ll get to see the loving and playful boy he really is. 🥰
If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will blossom with love and patience, Socks could be the perfect match. 🏡💕

Sweet little Dobby is looking for her forever home. 🏡
Dobby can be timid, shy and scared when she’s at the shelter. When you first meet her at the centre, you may see her hiding away and feeling unsure of her surroundings. But please don’t let that fool you — there’s so much more to Dobby ❤️
Dobby has been lucky enough to spend some time in foster care with one of our amazing foster carers, and she has absolutely blossomed outside of the shelter environment. 🌸
This video shows the real Dobby — playful, cuddly, sweet and full of personality! 🥹💕
She just needs someone who understands that she may take a little time to feel safe and comfortable. Someone willing to go at her pace, give her patience, love and reassurance, and let her confidence grow in her own time.
Once Dobby feels safe, you’ll get to see the beautiful, affectionate girl hiding behind that nervous little face. 🐾❤️

Can you give 2 hours of your time for the animals? 🐶🐱

We need volunteer street collectors for our Fill the Bucket street appeal, which is taking place on 30 and 31 October in Taupō and all around the country!

What's involved:
👉 Just 2 hours of your time (or more if you like) on either Friday 30 or Saturday 31 October
👉 Working in pairs at a collection site in your area, collecting donations from the public
👉 You'll be provided with the collection bucket, bibs, and stickers.
👉 You're welcome to bring your dog with you! Just remember to bring their water bowl and bags.

Every cent donated from our Fill the Bucket street appeal goes back to the thousands of animals that we help each year. This is a critical fundraiser, and we couldn't do it without our collection volunteers!

Adopting from Taupo spca doesn’t only mean that you get a great companion for life but you also get 6 weeks of free classes with dog training club , they also come desexed or will be desexed if puppy’s aren’t old enough yet vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm upto date and health checked by vets , below is just some of the many we have available for adoption ,please head to our website and head to adoption to view all our baby’s ready and rearing to go 😻🥰

These two beautiful souls have been waiting for their forever home for 191 days. 💔❤️
Meet Cookie, our handsome black-and-white boy, and Cookie, our gorgeous tabby girl. 🖤🤎
They are both incredibly sweet, quiet and gentle, but they are also very timid and scared. They need someone special who understands that trust takes time and is willing to patiently help them come out of their shells. 🥹
They may not be the cats who rush up to greet you straight away, but with time, patience and love, we know there are beautiful personalities waiting to shine through. ❤️
They love the simple things in life — especially finding a sunny spot and enjoying a good sunbathe. ☀️🐱
After 191 days in our care, these two really deserve the chance to experience a loving home where they can feel safe, secure and cherished. 🏡💕
