This month’s Community Kitchen is being run by a local group doing plenty of good work behind the scenes in Taupō.

ADHD Taupō provides a welcoming space for people with ADHD, whether diagnosed or undiagnosed, as well as parents, partners, grandparents and caregivers. It’s somewhere to share experiences, have a laugh, talk through the tough bits, and connect with people who understand.

On Saturday 10 October, they’ll be taking over the Community Kitchen at Waipahihi Community Hall. So while you’re browsing the stalls, stop by for a cuppa or something to eat and help support the work they do in our community.

Could you help shape the future of volunteering in Taupō?

Volunteer Taupō is looking for new Board Members to help guide our organisation and strengthen volunteering across our district.

Our aim is to enrich and grow volunteering across the Taupō District by creating meaningful connections between volunteers and community organisations, celebrating volunteering and working with others to strengthen our community.

We’re looking for people who can bring skills, experience and sound judgement to the Board, particularly those with governance, financial or organisational experience.

Around 4–6 hours a month.

An evening with DAVE LATELE
at MANGAKINO
FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2026

Come join us in Mangakino on Friday 25 September for a special evening with David Letele — one of New Zealand’s most inspirational community leaders and changemakers.

David will share his message of resilience, positive action and creating a positive future.

👥 YOUTH SESSION
5.30pm – 6.30pm: Mangakino Sports Hub, Wairenga Road
An inspiring session for Mangakino youth about overcoming challenges, believing in yourself and creating a positive future.

🌟 COMMUNITY SESSION
7.30pm – 9pm: Mangakino Club, 46 Wairenga Road
An evening for the wider community about resilience, positive change and building a brighter future together.

This is a community-led project supported by Taupō District Council.

❤️ ENTRY IS BY KOHA: All proceeds will help support future youth initiatives in Mangakino.
