For those interested, your welcome to come for a no obligation meet and greet of myself, Veronica and the team of horses š“
Kia ora, my name is Veronica Marwitz.
Iāve recently moved to the Nelson/Tasman region to establish an EquineāAssisted Health Practice at The Classical Equestrian Centre of New Zealand in Ruby Bay.
This is the next step in Eleena Kennedyās vision to grow a vibrant, healing space for the community-a place where children, young people, and adults can experience the many health-giving benefits of being with horses.
I share this vision and am excited to offer my services alongside a wonderful herd of mares in beautiful surroundings.
I work with horses to help young people and adults build mindfulness, wellbeing, and a stronger sense of self. This can support managing stress and anxiety, building selfāconfidence, and fostering a general sense of wellbeing. It can also contribute to positive changes across a wide range of mental and physical health challenges.
Sessions include a combination of groundwork and ridden experiences, tailored to each personās needs.
For people on the autistic spectrum, riding and being with horses has been shown to support development across many areas of health and wellbeing, including communication, self-regulation, motor skills, and relationship building.
Over the past seven years, Iāve worked with neurodiverse riders and enjoy building connections and working collaboratively so they can engage with horses in ways that work for them.
The holistic health of the equine herd is tended to, and health, safety, and ethical practice is central.
If youāre looking for an effective, grounded approach that helps you or your child build calm, confidence, and connection, feel free to reach out and book a meet and greet.

About me: Animals have helped me heal. Horses and dogs have taught me about connection, being present, and balancing acceptance with action.
As Iāve grown and become me, I delight in assisting others-with horses as partners-to achieve their personal goals.
My background includes many years working with adolescents across NGOs in therapeutic, educational, and socialāchange roles. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology from Victoria University of Wellington, and Iām a qualified Level 3 Therapeutic Riding Assistant Coach, soon to be a Level 4 Therapeutic Riding Coach.
Sessions times are weekday mornings, Fridays and Saturdays.
