These annual awards celebrate the outstanding dedication, leadership, and service of surf lifeguards and volunteers who make a significant contribution to Surf Life Saving.

A massive thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help lead the club this season. From finance and strategy to governance, training, and supporting the future direction of the club, this group brings a huge mix of experience.

There’s a huge amount happening behind the scenes and we’re lucky to have such a passionate team involved.

What an epic Prizegiving to wrap the season! 🏆🐣
And yes… we finally got to do bowls – and it did not disappoint! Such a fun night and an awesome way to celebrate together.

The most special moment of the evening was awarding our very own Laura Beanland Stephens a Club Life Membership – an incredibly well-deserved recognition and a really special moment for the club 💙 A big thank you to Greg for being there to present this.

Huge thanks as well to Grant for doing an amazing job as MC and keeping the night running smoothly.

It’s been a big few days on the beach for our Tairua Surf Lifesaving Club team, with a number of rescues carried out recently.

If you’re heading to the beach this weekend, please follow lifeguard directions. They’re there for one reason only: your safety.

🏊‍♂️ Always swim between the flags
⚠️ In Tairua especially, please avoid swimming at the north end of the beach. There is a large, fixed rip in this area
🚩 Our flags are currently set up just south of the surf club.
