Plastic Free Tairua

Plastic Free Tairua Welcome to our community group thinking about plastic free Tairua. Our 1st project was making reusable cloth bags & raising awareness of plastic pollution.

Now want to do some hard mahi on how we REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE our stuff as a community. Raising awareness and promotion of best practice for waste minimisation and care of or precious environment.

Sat July 20th from 10am - St Francis House, 244 Main Rd

This SATURDAY from 10am call in to St FRANCIS HOUSE for a cuppa and meet our friends Cary and Chiro, who are on a return visit to Tairua from MANASPRINGS, Kenya.
We know the excellent work these inspirational women, who founded the Manasprings movement are doing. Especially supporting women involved in education and welfare for children in small towns and villages around the country. They will give a short presentation about their work and the current conditions in that country.
This photo shows Kenyan village women making the top quality baskets which Manasprings now has for sale. There will be some available to buy at St Francis House on Saturday.
Do call in, enjoy morning tea and share some time with Carey and Chiro. Your interest will be a great encouragement to them!
