Access may be difficult, due to ongoing roadworks taking place along the Old Tai Tapu Road/Lincoln -Tai Tapu Road. The Library will not be open tomorrow between 2-4pm.

he June TTCA meeting has been rescheduled. It is being held on
Thursday 4th June. 7pm at the Tai Tapu Hotel Function Room.
You are welcome to attend.

Don't forget the Fundraising Quiz Night on Friday 12 June at the Community Centre, Rhodes Domain at 7pm-9pm. Get together with some friends and join the fun. Fundraising for the Tai Tapu Library to help keep the building maintained and the Library function intact. Contact [email protected] to book a table.

Tai Tapu Community Association- What we've been working on for the past year

What we have achieved:
• Lowering speed limit from Playcentre- Golf Links
• Moving of the "Your Speed" sign to outskirts of Township
• Upcoming Tai Tapu Quiz night, fundraising for Tai Tapu Library - Register your team
• Re-registered as incorporated society
• Signage to deter dumping at Community noticeboard

What we're working on
• Proposal to tidy river bank near Tai Tapu Library
• Heritage Trail
• Renewing the community board outside The Store
• Walkway completion
• Footpath safety in multiple locations
• Feasibility of potential community led bike pump track location
• Golf Link/ Old Tai Tapu intersection safety

On behalf of the Library Committee.
With the installation of underground wiring to replace the power poles in progress on Old Tai Tapu Road the Library will still be open.
Parking will be available on the Library side of the road for the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday sessions. Cones will be removed for this to happen by the traffic management team.

Don't forget to book a table for the upcoming Fundraising Quiz Night on Friday 12 June at 7pm. at the Community Centre.

Dear Property Owner
Contract 1468 - Old Tai Tapu Road Underground Power Conversion Works
We are writing to inform you of upcoming planned works to underground the existing overhead power lines along Old Tai Tapu Road.
The planned works will include removing the existing overhead power lines along Old Tai Tapu Road between State Highway 75 (Christchurch- Akaroa Road) to Forbes Road.
As part of the underground conversion, new street lighting poles will be installed along this section of road.
The works will also impact sections of nearby carriageways, where some power poles may be renewed, removed or relocated. New kiosks and boundary boxes will also be installed where required. An attached map shows the location of the works.
Orion has awarded the contract to Power Joining Ltd (PJL). A works notice, including contract details and programmed dates will be sent closer to the start of construction by PJL and/or Orion.
At this stage, construction is expected to begin in May 2026 and will be completed by the end of June 2026.
During construction, traffic management will be in place. PJL and Orion will keep you informed of any traffic management changes that could affect your property via letterbox drops or direct notices. Traffic management updates will also be available at selwyn.govt.nz/road closures.

So know that you don't need to leave town for mechanical work to be done to your vehicle

On behalf of the Tai Tapu Library
A donation of 15 Australian Outback books has been made to the Library. Perfect choice for light reading from popular authors.
The Bulk Library Loan from Selwyn Libraries is now on the shelves. If you are a Selwyn Library Card holder this selection is available for you to borrow. There are 80 books - 50 fiction, 20 non fiction and 10 Large Print.
Pop in and support your local Library which is run by volunteers. Plenty of choices available for you and a good selection of children's books in their very own room in the Library.
The Library hours are
2-4pm Tuesday and Thursday
10-12 midday on Saturday
