** SPRINGFIELD /SHEFFIELD CROSS COUNTRY BBQ THANK YOU **

A huge thank you to our Springfield and Sheffield families who warmed their bellies with a sausage or bacon buttie yesterday - and those who froze them again with a Juicie or fizzy!

🙌 Together we raised over $600 🙌

Thank you to the dream team who gave up their time to collect float, order and pick-up supplies, pack and set up on the day, kept the kai rolling behind the BBQ and packed down at the other end too: Keri, Sophie, Amy, Chanelle, Renai, Nicola, Chelsea, Rachel, Hannah and Locky.

Thank you as always to Brent and Sue at Springfield Challenge for the use of their BBQ trailer.

And thank you to all the parents who were able to volunteer and keep little legs inspired on-course too!

We really appreciate everyone's help and support.

*** SPRINGFIELD UNIFORM MENDING FOR A DONATION ***

Got a Springfield school uniform that’s seen better days? Knees needing patches, buttons hanging on for dear life, hems that need taking up or down?

Trish Broderick has kindly offered to mend and alter Springfield School uniforms for a donation of your choosing to the PTA.

How to get your mending done:

1. You will find a ‘mending box’ in the school office underneath the laminator. Inside you will find a form along with some paper bags.

2. Pop your completed form in the paper bag along with your uniform items and zips or buttons if required. (All thread, patches etc... will be provided)

3. Allow a week for mending to be done, but make a note if needed more urgently. You will receive a text message when your mending is ready to be collected from the school office.

4. Pop a donation of your choice into the PTA bank account.

Hot off the press! Hellers bacon Fundraiser kicking off today. Each family will be provided with a paper order form. For your convenience you can also order online via the QR code.
Note that this is a school fundraiser, so it is the school bank account (listed on the order form page).
Bacon packs are 400g for streaky and 500g for middle eye.

Hi everyone, just a reminder that we have a PTA catch-up tomorrow straight after school at 3pm in the classrooms (Wednesday 13 May).

Kids are welcome to play while we chat and there will be snacks!

We'll keep it short, with our main focus to discuss fundraising ideas for the rest of the year.

Next PTA Catch-Up: Wednesday 13 May.
New time of 3pm, just after school.
Kids can stay and play while parents plan!

We'd love to see you at our next PTA catch-up. We'll keep it short and our main focus is discussing fundraising ideas for the rest of the year.

Coming along doesn't commit you to anything extra. We know everyone's busy and every bit of involvement, big or small, helps our small school continue to thrive.

The more parents and caregivers in the room, the better the conversation and the better the decisions we make for our kids.

If you're open to supporting the PTA in other ways too, we'd love to hear from you. Your contribution is always greatly appreciated!

4182 Cheese Rolls Later......

A huge and heartfelt thanks to the 13 incredible volunteers that came along and made 4182 cheese rolls yesterday! What a wonderful group of people, who worked so very hard and efficiently, and made the day (and fundraiser) such a success!

A huge thanks also to those that purchased any cheese rolls ... we sold 348.5 dozen, raising over $2000 for the PTA to help our school thrive.

Thanks also to our three wonderful local business sponsors, Curle Contracting Ltd, Ben Deans at Harcourts, and the Springfield Service Centre/Alpine Stop, who all helped keep our costs down. Also, a huge thanks to Rob at PAK’nSAVE Rolleston for your support both with our bulk order and reducing the prices for us!

We really do have a wonderful school community!

Why didn’t the cheese want to get sliced? It had grater plans.

Team work makes the cheese work! Calling for cheese roll makers!

Our major fundraiser for the term is coming to an end, with all orders due next Tuesday! Sales are looking great so far.

We are now looking for a team of volunteers to help make the cheese rolls :)

When: 9am on Monday 4th, Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th May

Where: Springfield School Library

We’d love to have you along! Freshly brewed coffee available throughout.
