All profits will help our tamariki with new resources and experiences. A huge thank you to Nicola and Louise for volunteering to sell tickets this evening.

Thanks again to Harry at Springfield Hotel for your ongoing support of our school and Blair at Darfield Village Meats for putting together the awesome trays!

We are still looking for one more volunteer for the following Fridays: 23 Oct, 30 Oct, 6 Nov, 13 Nov & 23 Nov. If you can spare an hour would be much appreciated.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Dan and the team from RHL and Springfield Quarry for their super generous and substantial donation to our Term 4 senior camp.

As a small school of just 39, it's wonderful people like Dan who help ensure every child at Springfield has the opportunity to take part in every experience.

You can see Dan's team hard at work outside (the also big-hearted) Springfield Hotel!

We can't thank you enough Dan! The kids are beyond excited for our water themed camp next term. Thank you for helping to make it possible. 🙌

✨A HUGE Read-a-Thon THANK YOU✨

Hannah has been busy reconciling Read-a-Thon donations and we’re very happy and very grateful to report, you helped to raise $1971.90 towards our tamariki’s learning resources.

WAY TO GO READERS! And WAY TO GO families and teachers for making it all possible.

Being a little school has wonderful benefits, but it also comes with limited funding. This means fundraisers like this pay a vital role in expanding resources so all kids have access to the learning materials they need.

We realise what a big commitment fundraisers like these are for us all, so your support is very much appreciated now and always. Thank you again. 🙌

A big shout-out to Harry, our Springfield publican and all-round great bloke.

Harry, your generosity and support of our tamariki this year has been so appreciated. From offering your regular fundraisers to sharing your freezer space to shouting the whole school hot chips on Book Character Day. (Which were a huge hit!) Thank you for all you do, not just for Springfield Primary but for our Springfield community at large. 🍻

If you're ever up this way and needing a great feed, a cold one and a smile. Pop into the pub! Or - need a night in, check-out their awesome take-away menu too. Thanks Harry 🙌

Kia ora school families. A HUGE thank you to all who responded to our last message, offering to help at the big birthday event next year. We now have a great crew and look forward to passing on the good news. Thank you again!

Attn: Pub goers / Potential Meat Raffle Helpers

We’re sorry for the back-to-back requests, this one is a little closer to home, looking for helpers for our upcoming Meat Raffles through the Springfield Hotel.

The Springfield Hotel has generously offered us their Friday night meat raffles for October and November. If we sell all tickets, this will add a further $1,300 to our fundraising efforts this year.

All the organising is done. We just need two helpers (or just one if you're happy to go it alone) to show up on the evening and sell the raffle tickets and be there to do the draw. You'd be there from about 5.30pm - 6.30pm. We're told the tickets always sell out so not hard to move them.

Can you spare some time after school this Wednesday?

There's a PTA catch-up directly after school this coming Wednesday 9 September in the classrooms just after 3pm. It will be our last of the term.

We'll be chatting about Term 4 upcoming raffles and fundraisers. I don't imagine it will run too long, the agenda is quite tight. There will be bikkies! All parents and caregivers welcome and kids can stay and play. Hope to see you there. 🙌

UPDATE: They did it! Carter, Oscar and Alby. Winners of the boys race, yrs 1 - 6 in some really tough conditions. Big shout out to Carter who came 3rd overall fastest boy in the division too. Congrats to all the kiddos and teams who took on the mountain and mother nature today. Thanks to Bobo Products for your sponsorship - the boys were stoked with their Lange boot bags! And Porters Alpine Resort for putting on a great event. Also to Emma for getting our team entered last minute!

Good luck to the Springfield boys today! ⛷️🗻 Happy racing if we don’t get blown away first!!
