I Got Your Back Pack NZ I Got Your Back Pack provides care packs to survivors of domestic violence in Aotearoa, New Zealand. It is based in Silverdale, Auckland.

We work with refuges and other charitable organisations providing individual packs with essential, comfort and useful items to adults and children I Got Your Back Pack is a registered charity (CC53632) founded in 2016. With the help of many fantastic individual and business supporters, we fill our back packs with essential supplies and small items which are distributed to adults and children throu

It is with heavy hearts that we share that I Got Your Back Pack will be closing as we’ve been unable to secure funding to continue.

This decision hasn’t come easily and we remain hopeful another non-profit will take up this service in the future.

Because of the generosity of every one of our donors, partners and sponsors, thousands of backpacks were delivered with dignity, care, and compassion. Your support has never been “just a donation” — it was a lifeline, and it changed more than 27,000 lives.

While every single donation has made a very real difference and is sincerely appreciated, we would like to thank, in particular, our friends at Bunnings, Canon, GreenScene, Whitcoulls and Yarnteeze, all of whom have provided significant ongoing support over the years.

We will continue sending packs out for as long as we can, using our remaining stock to reach as many people as possible before operations are suspended.

Thank you for believing in this kaupapa and for standing with us every step of the way. We are sincerely grateful for your kindness and generosity 💛

These gorgeous Barnaby bears got packed up last week and headed straight to Te Whare Tiaki Wāhine Refuge - a Womens Refuge in Porirua providing 24/7 crisis support and safe accommodation for women and children. They are ready to bring comfort and joy to tamariki receiving our care packs. 🧸💛

Whitcoulls Albany are running the Barnaby Bear fundraiser for a few more weeks, so it’s the best place to do your Christmas shopping AND bring a smile to someone who needs it.

Thank you Okta for supporting us with a donation of reusable totes and travel cups.
1 in 3 New Zealanders will experience domestic violence in their lifetime.
This means that it could be one of your employees, a colleague, a friend, extended family or anyone in your community. Businesses supporting people in the community is always a great thing, and these practical, quality items are very useful for someone who has left home with very little, or nothing.
