Happy NY everyone🥳 2025 was a great year for us. We had a lot of adventures, a new bus and a trip to Cambodia.

We are so happy for 2026 and new adventures, we went out today and did a tickle of track maintenance on Tarawera trail as it was badly over grown and in need of a snipping. See you soon and enjoy your holidays.

Final Day of Kulon Mountains
Back in Siem Reap after an epic journey across Cambodia. A chance to rest, reflect, and pack before heading back to New Zealand tomorrow.

Massive thanks to our incredible guides and park rangers for their knowledge, care, and support throughout — we couldn’t have done this trip without you. An unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Days 12–15 – Kulen Mountains

A multi-night hiking adventure through the Kulen Mountains. Long days on foot through jungle heat, with hidden temples, stunning waterfalls, and countless kilometres covered. Along the way we passed through remote villages, meeting locals and seeing a different side of Cambodia. Challenging, rewarding, and an unforgettable part of the journey.

Day 10 – Siem Reap
An unforgettable day in Siem Reap exploring the Angkor temple complex by mountain bike. Riding between temples gave us a real sense of the scale and history of this remarkable place, from quiet forest tracks to the awe-inspiring stone structures that have stood for centuries.

Along the way we learned about the history of Angkor, the engineering behind the temples, and the role they continue to play in Cambodian culture today. A big day of riding, learning, and taking it all in — one of the true highlights of the journey so far.

Project all finished ☑️ one happy island family - monk ceremony to bless our group and there work in the community followed by a town celebration tonight then travel to Siem Reap tomorrow

Days 5–9 – Community Project

From days 5 to 9, the team was fully immersed in our community project, working alongside locals to build a shower and toilet block with a septic tank for a family on the island. An incredibly worthwhile project and a great example of teamwork, commitment, and giving back to the community.

Day 4 - Today was an eventful day of travel to our rural village experience. Along the way we got to try tradational sticky rice, share a close encounter with freshwater dolphins and learn the story of the 100 pillar pagoda temple.

Day Three – Travel to Kratie
A full travel day heading to Kratie, with some rough roads, bugs, and plenty of laughs along the way.
We’ve settled in for the night and head to Koh Phdau Island tomorrow to begin our six-day community service project with CRDT Tours.

Day Two – Phnom Penh
Today we explored Cambodia’s history at S21 and the Killing Fields, learning about the country’s past and its people’s resilience.
The afternoon was all about local flavour — street food tastings, busy markets, and plenty of bartering and laughs along the way.

A full first day exploring the incredible temples, wandering through local markets, and trying a mix of new Cambodian foods. The group’s settling in well and already soaking up the sights, sounds, and energy of Phnom Penh.
