Switched On To Solar

Rotorua’s St Chads Life Skills Hub will very soon be switched onto solar power with thanks to a grant from Meridian Energy Decarbonisation Fund.
ZEN Energy NZ https://www.zenenergy.co.nz/ installed the system and now we are looking forward to seeing lighter power bills!
Last month we used over 3% less power than the same time last year but our bill was over 9% more expensive.
The best position for the solar panels turns out to be on our hall that was originally built as a church one hundred years ago! A great example of the idiom 'where old meets new'.

You have one more week to bring in your tinned food to support Rotary’s Cans for a Cause. We’ll donate all proceeds to St John’s Presbyterian Church to benefit our local community. Leave your tins at the marked box at Lynda’s office.

St Chads is again supporting Cans with a Cause. Donated tins of food will go to the food bank run by St John’s Presbyterian Church in Rotorua. Tins can be left in the marked box in Lynda’s office through next week. Thank you!

Very excited about our solar panels being installed this week! Thanks to a grant from Meridian Energy decarbonisation fund we have Zen Energy team onsite to get us solar powered. Our 100yr old hall is perfectly positioned to capture the sun.

Wonderful morning for our Roopu Kawhe at Piccalo Café at The Arts Village. We rate it 10/10 for the yummy food, kind staff, good prices, great coffee and accessibility.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Quiz Night last Friday. It was a spectacular evening which raised funds for St Chads.

We appreciate The Rotorua Club Incorporated for hosting our event.

A huge shout out to all the local businesses who donated vouchers for our raffles: Mini Golf Rotorua, Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ, Hell's Gate, Polynesian Spa, Skyline Rotorua, 3D Trick Art Gallery, Agrodome, Velocity Valley, Waimangu Experience, Rotorua Duck Tours and aMAZEme.

Bragging rights go to the staff team from St Chads who never expected to win!
