Tena koutou e te whanau

KOROMATUA WANANGA
Due to tangihanga in March, our Koromatua Wananga was postponed. The Koromatua Wananga kaupapa is a very important one which we still plan to hold prior to our AGM.
We have therefore rescheduled the wananga for Saturday 24 May 10am - 3pm at Mataikotare.

Consequently, this has affected our scheduled date as previously notified. A new date will be confirmed in due course.

Parking areas have been allocated for mobility, manuhiri and haukainga parking please be courteous of each other

There will be parking attendants and flood lights to help guide you if you are unsure

Now that we’ve had our messy fun 🤩 it’s time to 🧹 clean up 🧼

Working bee 🐝 Saturday 19th April, the Pa will be open from 9am feel free to just rock on up, choose an area from the white board roll up your sleeves and help us get through the mahi
The major areas of concern are interior so rain hail thunder or cyclone we’ll be here

Helpful items to bring
We should have more than enough cleaning supplies, but the more the merrier
Drink bottles and a packed lunch will save us on dishes but as always cuppa tea and light snacks will be provided.

Please send these to [email protected] including name and rank if known or you can drop hard copies into the Marae, when: we have two Saturday Wananga planned during school holidays

Saturday 12 starting at 11am to lend an arty hand with decorations, we have all the materials we think we need but always appreciate whanau input.

Saturday 19 April Let’s spruce up the Pa working bee outdoor equipment needed, light refreshments will be provided.

Just a friendly reminder a few of us will be gathering at the Pa Saturday 12th April around 11am, we will be working on decorations to help brighten up our wharekai Uenukurauiri

Bring the kids for a day out and messy fun, light refreshments will be available.

If you’re not able to attend give us a shout we may be able to put a small pack together for you to take home.

The trustees of Mataikotare Marae warmly invite you to wananga.

Saturday 29 March 2025
Time: 10am - 3pm

The agenda will cover a recap of previous koromatua wananga, broadening understanding of whakapapa within Iwi, Hapu, Whenua and it’s context within our marae governance structure

Lunch will be provided.

We will be attempting a live stream on our Ngati Rangiteaorere page please bare with us as we navigate possible reception issues.
One of our helpful committee members will be moderating the stream
