Kia ora,

Matai Pacific, in partnership with post-harvest operators Seeka, EastPack, and MPAC, are offering cadetship opportunities for up to six individuals for the upcoming kiwifruit season.

The cadetships will run from March through to June, with the potential for successful candidates to transition into permanent roles.

Each cadetship will be managed slightly differently depending on the post-harvest partner, with programmes tailored to suit the individual. In general, cadets will gain experience across various areas of packhouse operations.

Post-harvest facilities are located throughout Te Puke and Mount Maunganui, with MPAC Tauriko being the furthest site. Cadets will be placed with one primary post-harvest partner but may be required to work across different facilities as needed. Cadets are responsible for their own transport to and from work.

Working hours vary by packhouse but typically range from 10–12 hours per shift and may include up to six days per week during peak season. Hourly pay rates will be agreed directly between the post-harvest partner and the cadet at the time of offer.

Those interested in applying can complete the attached Expression of Interest form (images attached ) and email it to [email protected] and/or attend the information session on Monday 16 February 2.00pm, Te Arawa Group Holdings office, 1256 Arawa Street, Rotorua
