Wānanga Matariki 2026 is a national whānau engagement initiative led by Tauhara North No.2 Trust, bringing together whānau across Aotearoa through a series of wānanga focused on connection, learning, culture, wellbeing, and practical support.

Join us for our Wānanga Matariki 2026 ✨

This kaupapa is all about connecting whānau to whānau, whānau to whenua, and whānau to whakapapa through mātauranga Māori and wānanga.

These wānanga will be held across Aotearoa, starting in Rotorua, Te Whanganui a Tara, Kirikiriroa, Tāmaki Makaurau, and Ōtautahi, creating spaces for our TN2T whānau to come together and connect.

We’re looking for two motivated whānau members interested in tikanga Māori, storytelling, and supporting safety within our geothermal taiao. This 10‑week, full‑time internship offers the chance to work alongside cultural mentors and H&S specialists to help develop a new Cultural & Geothermal Safety Induction for our Trust.

You’ll gain:
• Practical project experience
• Cultural and safety mentorship
• A deeper connection to Rotokawa
• A completed piece of work to support your career journey
