💙Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mums, grandmothers and aunties out there - especially the ones who keep our Coastguard whānau afloat.

To the volunteers who juggle family life with callouts.
To the mothers in our crews, our radio rooms, and our communities.
To the mums who wait up, support, and encourage from the shore.

Thank you for your aroha, resilience and generosity💙

The Hannah’s Bay boat ramp and 5-knot buoy served as training aids, the recently installed engine gained another hour of sea time, and the trip quietly marked the first all-female crew for the unit.

We enjoyed hosting the Lynmore Keas at the Coastguard shed.

A few of our crew showed the tamariki around the rescue boats, talked through some of the gear and tech we use on the lakes, and shared a few water safety tips.

The kids also got hands-on making their own miniature boats — future Coastguard crew in the making!

Thanks for coming to visit us 👋
